Tech Skills Gaps: The Role of STEM Education

Next-level tech skills are in high demand, as I recently wrote about jobs that will be created over the next decade. However, we’re already seeing a huge gap between the candidates equipped with these skills and the number needed to fill available positions. STEM education will play a significant role in closing that gap, which should begin far before college. Let’s discuss the steps we need to take now to ensure students are equipped with the skills they need.  Read the Full Article…

Holiday Social Brings C-STEM Together

Earlier this month, we were finally able to once again hold our Holiday Social. We were unable to do so in 2020 due to the pandemic. It was like a homecoming to see the C-STEM community coming back together to celebrate our greatest supporters and champions.

Cloth & Cord, Supporters Share Robotics with Early Learners

At Cloth & Cord they believe it is never too early to support STEM/STEAM learning.  This holiday season, Cloth & Cord launched an effort to support C-STEM by raising funds to provide Robotics Toolkits to preschoolers!

Thanks to generous supporters, the Gift of Robotics Drive provided toolkits for Storybook Academy PreK students.

“My kids loved the kits and they are so excited to started working on them,” said Storybook Academy Director Fonda Campbell. “My teacher has been incorporating robots in her lesson plan, so these kits will enhance their learning environment and peak their interest to another level.”
