Photography Challenge Teacher Training

The C-STEM Photography Challenge Teacher Training empowers educators to teach students how to use digital photography, visual storytelling, and creative writing to inspire change in their communities.

Through this hands-on professional development course, teachers learn strategies for helping students capture powerful images that express ideas, promote awareness, and spark action. Using the C-STEM Photography Challenge curriculum and toolkit, students will develop photography-based projects that combine art, technology, and social impact—transforming creativity into advocacy.

Participants gain classroom-ready tools to teach the principles of photography, composition, lighting, and narrative development, while integrating media literacy and project-based learning into their instruction.
